Student Driven???
Students can do ANYTHING ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT WE DO IN CLASS. They can take what we worked with or learned in class and expand upon it for extra credit poin ts.
For example: We read a short story by Ray Bradbury called "The Pedestrian." Bradbury is famous for writing short stories, so for extra credit you could read another story by him, compare and contrast the plot and characters, and write a simple 5 paragraph essay.
Another Example: "The Pedestrian" is a pretty famous story. People are doing many different creative things with it. Check out the animated short film on YouTube based on it and write a page critique. Maybe produce a video of your own.
Extra credit in my class is UNLIMITED. Challenge yourself. If you like something we did in class, apply it to something else.
All Extra Credit for the semester will be lost if you are caught cheating at any time or on any assignment. Extra Credit is for students who do all the work, but still find themselves in need of more points to get an "A" in the class.
